7th Brigade Engineer Battalion

7th Brigade Engineer Battalion — the engineer battalion of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division.

The 7th Engineer Battalion, known as the ‘Hammer Battalion,’ has a lineage spanning World War II, postwar service in Europe, Vietnam-era operations, and later assignments at Fort Carson and Fort Polk. Its headquarters returned to active service at Fort Drum in 2006. As 7th BEB, the battalion provides mobility, countermobility, survivability, and technical support to the Warrior Brigade.
